ARTIST STATEMENT

Recognizing self-imposed limitations is the first step toward making progress in my aesthetic.  This recognition often becomes apparent only after I have made the next mark, pursued the next meaning, or completed the next work.  My progress comes through process, allowing the unplanned and unconscious an avenue of recognition.  By working quickly, intensely, and physically, my inner thoughts become manifest in the aesthetic.  These works are proof of my intent, which is to search for truth, purpose, and most of all to deconstruct my limitations.
